TJ McCoy founded Master Care-Givers in 2019 after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. During his college years, TJ gained valuable experience by interning and volunteering at several group homes and special needs organizations, including Nathaniel’s Buddy Break, KCI (Kids Central Incorporated), Challenge Champions, and the University of Louisville’s Park and Recreational program. He also pursued a master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Louisville.
TJ’s passion lies in helping communities thrive through programs designed to empower youth and adults with special needs. His dedication and hands-on experience have driven the mission of Master Care-Givers to provide compassionate and effective support to those in need.
My name is Amanda Campbell, and I have dedicated the past seven years to working with developmentally disabled individuals through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). However, my journey in this field began much earlier—when I was just 12 years old. It all started in middle school, where my mentor was a teacher for special needs students. That experience ignited a lifelong passion for supporting individuals with unique challenges and ensuring they have the best quality of life possible. Even before I fully understood the importance of this work, I found myself naturally drawn to helping others. In church, I often connected with children labeled as “difficult.” Instead of pushing them aside, I gave them the attention they needed, helping to calm and comfort them. That ability to see past labels and meet people where they are has shaped my career and approach to caregiving.
I am currently the Employee Manager at Master Caregivers, where I oversee and support a team of dedicated professionals. I also provide Supportive Living Coaching to clients who live independently in their own homes. This allows me to help individuals build the skills they need to maintain their independence and thrive in their communities. What I love most about this work is its dynamic nature—no two clients or days are ever the same. Each interaction provides a new opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. My passion for caregiving continues to drive me, and I am committed to creating positive, supportive environments where every individual feels valued and empowered.
